With Easter fast approaching, it’s the perfect reason to overindulge in two of my favourite things – chocolate and afternoon tea. It’s become a bit of an Easter traditional for G and I to head into London during easter for afternoon tea as London tends to empty out as everyone boards a flight to somewhere exotic leaving you with a pretty good choice of afternoon tea options. Here are a few places in London and in England that are offering an Easter Afternoon Tea this year.
Easter Afternoon Tea at Claridge’s Hotel, London
Okay, Claridge’s is my favourite hotel in London plus they offer the best afternoon tea so it was a no brainer to add their Easter Afternoon Tea to this listing…I can confirm I’ve also eaten the Easter Afternoon Tea and it rocks (in my gluten eating days, darn I miss those days….). You can book via the Claridge’s website here and the Easter Afternoon Tea costs £75pp.
Easter Afternoon Tea at The Dorchester
If there is one thing that The Dorchester is good at, it’s their themed afternoon teas and the Easter Afternoon Tea is no exception. How cute are those Easter pastries! You can book via the The Dorchester website here and the Easter Afternoon Tea costs £59pp.
Easter Afternoon Tea at The Ampersand Hotel, London
This scummy Easter Afternoon at The Ampersand Hotel would be a perfect sugary pick me up after touring the delightful Museums close by (Science Museum, V&A etc). You can book via The Ampersand Hotel website here and the Easter Afternoon Tea costs £32.50pp
Easter Afternoon Tea at The Ham Yard Hotel, London
When researching this post I found this little gem and instantly fell in love with these colourful pastries, seriously how darn cute are they and why haven’t I visited the Ham Yard Hotel before! You can book via The Ham Yard Hotel website here and the Easter Afternoon Tea costs a very reasonable £19.50pp
Easter Afternoon Tea at The Langham Hotel, London
The Langham Hotel in London was the first hotel in London to offer Afternoon Tea and it’s still going strong decades later….now check out their Easter Afternoon Tea offerings – I want to dive into those scones! You can book via The Langham Hotel website here and the Easter Afternoon Tea costs £59pp
London High Society Easter Afternoon Tea at Hotel Cafe Royal, London
I was super surprised by the Afternoon Tea that was offered by Hotel Cafe Royal when I visited last year and am intrigued with their London High Society Easter Afternoon Tea which I’ve read has a chocolate twist. It’s all very secret squirrel at this luxury hotel. You can book via Hotel Cafe Royal website here and the Easter Afternoon Tea costs £42pp
Easter Afternoon Tea at The Pump Room Restaurant, Bath
After trying the gluten free scones on my recent visit to Bath (they were blooming fabulous!), I just had to add their Afternoon Tea to the listing. You can find more information about The Pump Room Restaurant via their website here and the Easter Afternoon Tea costs a very reasonable £21pp.
Easter Afternoon Tea at Ripley Castle, North Yorkshire
Now this isn’t an Easter themed Afternoon Tea however during Easter, Ripley Castle opens it’s doors and offers Afternoon Tea (it’s a special treat for us all and worthy to be included in this listing I thought). You can find more information about Ripley Castle via their website here and the Easter Afternoon Tea costs a very reasonable £20pp.
Easter Afternoon Tea at Ye Old Bell, Nottinghamshire
The Ye Old Bell is offering an Easter Chocoholics Afternoon Tea up in Retford, Nottinghamshire including a hot chocolate with marshmallows (hot chocolates without marshmallows are naked in my world) and served on vintage crockery. You can find more information about Ye Old Bell via their website here and the Easter Afternoon Tea costs a very reasonable £16.50pp.
Easter Afternoon Tea at Coombe Abbey, Warwickshire
Now I’m all for going for a stroll after scoffing afternoon tea however up in Warwickshire you can dance the calories off via a disco as part of the Easter Chocolate Wonderland event held at Coombe Abbey this Easter. You can book via the Coombe Abbey website here and the Easter Afternoon Tea costs £22.50pp.
Now don’t fret if you haven’t booked an Easter Afternoon Tea as I’ve normally found that I’ve been able to pick up a booking a week prior to Easter due to cancellations. (If still no luck, try calling the hotel on the day and see if there is any availability).
So which one has tempted you this Easter?
xx
