If there are three words that this kiwi girl loves it’s “free flowing Champagne”; thanks to the Lovely Emma, I was invited to the Momentus Champagne Bar Opening at The Cumberland Hotel.
The Cumberland Hotel is a stylish 4 star hotel located on Great Cumberland Place (located off Oxford Street and Marble Arch), just a short four minute walk (yes I timed it!) from Selfridges which houses one of London’s best shoe departments!
The newly opened Momentus Champagne Bar is extremely chic, offering a fantastic champagne menu from the quirky named Lava Liscious Champagne Cocktail (Russian Standard, Chambord, muddled fresh strawberries, raspberries, vanilla syrup floated with house champagne) right down to a Shirley Temple. I know where I will be taking my little sister the next time she is in London – bring on the sequels and Shirley Temples!
Stepping off the hustle and bustle that is Oxford Street, you will be utterly impressed with the relaxed atmosphere; with high ceilings and clean lines the bar is very sleek and has plenty of space to store all your shopping bags.

Now you know I’m an Afternoon Tea lover and guess what, they serve Afternoon Tea in the Bar; what more could a girl want – Shopping, Afternoon Tea and Champagne Cocktails – 3 of my favourite things. I need to make a booking to try out their gluten free Afternoon Tea me thinks!
I think it’s safe to say someone had a little bit too much Moet at the opening party!
