Yes another month has passed us by and now we are racing towards one of my favourite things; Christmas! This month Rebecca, Emma and I are joined by another co-host; the lovely Angie from Silverspoon London. This months link up theme is “A Room with a View” – it can be a view that you have had, the funniest view, the worst view or one that you aspire to have one day and it doesn’t even have to be a view from a hotel room (if you get my drift) so be creative as you want!. Sit back and enjoy the view –
Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe – we were provided with a lovely upgrade to Le Duplex which had a view of the Eiffel Tower from our bed. I now understand why travellers fall in love Paris!
Hotel Grande Bretagne, Athens – we had a lovely balcony overlooking the main square and Parliament so we could people watch from the comfort of our own room while eating cake.
Shangri-La London, The Shard – we stayed on the opening weekend at this luxury London hotel and I don’t think you will find a better view from a London hotel than here. Just remember to close the blinds before getting naked otherwise you will end up flashing the folks upstairs, downstairs and beside you!
Intercontinental Hotel Berchtesgaden – this is G’s favourite hotel of all time; the views from the rooms are amazing but the best view is from the outdoor heated pool overlooking the mountains and where you can spot Eagle’s Nest in the distance. We ate all these sweet treats from our bed overlooking the mountains while I sung “The hills are alive with the sound of music” very very badly!
Intercontinental Hotel Marseille – one of the IHG’s newest hotels; the location has unbeatable views over the city. Dining on the balcony is a must and I can’t wait to return later this year.
Litia Sini Beach Resort, Lalomanu Beach, Samoa – You can’t beat this view from our fale! Blue blue blue baby!
Sheraton Krakow – the view that got away; we could see Wawel Castle from our room if we put our cheek against the window and squinted. The hotel has a great roof top bar, perfect for cocktails and taking in the view of Wawel Castle.
Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel, Aswan – I can’t wait to get into our Nile View room at The Old Cataract Hotel and just watch the world sail by. (Image Credit)
