With so much of the world out there to discover; booking a flight back to a destination that you have already visited is not something that many of us do. So when I was asked to do a post on 5 travel destinations I would love to rediscover I jumped at the chance to get involved with this promotion run by “Booked.net – Top Destinations to Go There“.
So without further ado here are my five travel destinations that I would love to rediscover –
Athens, Greece
I love Athens, one of my favourite city break destinations and a very well kept shopping secret in Europe. I would return just to get another few pairs of handmade custom fitted Greek Sandals; yip I would fly for almost four hours just to buy shoes – I’m obsessed!
Paris, France
After not falling immediately in love with Paris, after my recent visit to Paris I’m kinda seeing why everyone falls in love with the City of Light. I’ve seen a few of the big sights that Paris has to offer and had Afternoon Tea in Paris but I want to discover the cute little vintage markets and to really hit the shops. I may also partake in a number of these gorgeous gluten free chocolate eclairs.
Florence, Italy
Florence was my poppa’s favourite Italian city and it’s mine also. While I thought Verona possibly knocked Florence from my top spot earlier this year I have decided that I need to revisit Florence and stay at the Four Seasons Hotel (image credit) and visit the Salvatore Ferragamo Shoe Museum. How could I not love a city that has a Shoe Museum.
Lalomanu Beach, Samoa
They say a picture is worth a thousand words… I don’t think I need to explain why I would return too Samoa in an instant!
Split, Croatia
The gateway to the Dalmatian coastline and also home to some great shoe shopping! I’ve been known to purchase 2 pairs of shoes within 11 minutes before catching my bus to our family village further along the Croatian coastline. The city is beautiful and there is nothing better that just relaxing with a drink on the Riva.
