During one of our recent trips to Croatia, my cousin invited our family to visit the Tui Blue Jadran Hotel in Tucepi where he is currently employed. I love a good hotel snooping session and it’s fair to say that my folks and sister also have membership to this snooping club.
While we didn’t stay at the hotel, we did have a preview of a few of the rooms and also the indoor and outdoor areas which are pretty special.
We’ve been coming to Croatia since the early 2000’s and it’s incredible to see the difference in hotel standards from then to now. Traditionally many tourists stayed in home stays along the Dalmatian coastline however over the last few years a number of hotels have either been refurbished or built to cater for the change in the tourist market.
This hotel was the first Yugoslavian hotel on the Dalmatian coastline and was completely refurbished in 2017.
Let’s start with a snoop inside the rooms which are quite uniform in design regardless of which room type you book…
…for me this decor really floats my boat as it’s quite mid century minimalist in design with excellent flow throughout the room to take in the mountain or sea views.
The room amenities are what you would expect to see from this level of hotel.
If you’re looking for something a bit more special in your hotel room then why not book a room with a plunge pool…
…nap time to pool time in a few teeny tiny steps!
The plunge pool isn’t private…it is shared with a number of other rooms on the ground floor of the hotel however it’s perfect for folks that require a bit more privacy than the hotel pools which are for all residents.
The mid century minimalist theme continues from the rooms through to the common areas inside the hotel…
…light and bright…
…there are seats for hotel guests on each level and also in the lobby area.
Obviously if you’re visiting during the summer months then you’ll be enjoying the delights of the outdoor areas which include 3 pools…
…I can’t share a photo as there were a number of guests using the area at the time; the pool areas are stunning and spacious.
There are quite a few different seating areas available outside for guests to relax and take in the views of the Adriatic…
…or the mountains.
I fell in love with the spiral staircase at the Tui Blue Jadran…
…it was just too beautiful so I had to ask Daddy to be my model….just imagine him wearing a bright red dress…an instagram starlet in the waiting!
If you looking for hotels along the Makarska Riviera then the Tui Blue Jadran Hotel is a brilliant choice as it’s just 3 kilometres away from Makarska making it an easy trip for drinks, dinner or some sightseeing.
