I thought I would share some of my photos of The Hobbiton Movie Set in Matamata from a past visit home to New Zealand.
The tour isn’t cheap at $75 pp however its just so amazing to wander around the Hobbit holes and learn how they created the movie set with the high level of detail to get it just right for the fans who were expecting perfection from Peter Jackson.
The best fact was that the New Zealand Army were contracted to build a road for the movie set!
Mum and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend it.
