“Oh, God, I’m so lonely. An entire weekend stretching ahead with no one to love or have fun with. Anyway, I don’t care. I’ve got a lovely steamed ginger pudding from M&S to put in the microwave.”  Helen Fielding, Bridget Jones’s Diary

My Life Goal, ze weight

Yip I’m officially a yo-yo and I hate yo-yos!  I always end up wrapped in the yo-yo string!  Next week I’m starting some new medication for a rather glamorous hormone issue (the real reason why my weight is going up and down, the weight gain isn’t really all down to the afternoon tea I’m eating; well maybe a teeny weeny bit!) and as the medication is pretty new the consultant isn’t sure if it will cause weight gain; watch this space.  As my friend said to me the other day – if life was meant to be easy, we wouldn’t have cake!

Shake Your Booty

I’m still enjoying my walks around the lake except when I get drenched in the rain – the weather in the shires was pretty pants this week but I got to see a rather beautiful large rainbow and the pot of gold was located in the Tesco car park; as they say every little bit helps!

Bloggy Stuff

I’m a pretty bad travel blogger I’ve got to say – I went to Cambridge on Friday and decided I would do a blog post on things to do in Cambridge BUT everything was closed….apparently you should check these things out before you leave the house.  Let’s just say it’s going to be a rather short blog post, oops!

Kelly Michelle's Diary Week 13

I’ve just applied for a Historic Houses Association membership (there’s a 25% discount offered for English Heritage Members at present) which means free access to a lot of Stately Homes and Castles…get ready to be spammed by castle posts.

My last bit of bloggy news is that I’m going to see Sting and Paul Simon in concert this month, now I just need to buy some dancing shoes!

Links I’ve Loved this Week

Shameless plugging again this week but the Travel Link Up is still open for another few days and the topic is all about “Guilty Pleasures”; I thought it was a good opportunity to name and shame myself.

I love Lucy’s latest blog post on Annecy – what more can a girl want, Castles and Canals in France!

If you want to up your game on Instagram then I suggest you check out the latest post from Jacintha from Urban Pixxels as she’s giving 5 steps and 5 apps to get better Instagram photos.  Jacintha has been included in a number of the best travel instagram accounts to follow for 2015 including my very own from earlier this year.

Happy Easter everyone!
