Bosnia and Herzegovina

This post is going to be short and sweet like my day trip into Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Tip – you don’t need a visa to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina so there are no excuses not to visit!

Our day trip from Croatia started with a visit to Medjugorje, a popular site for religious pilgrimage after local catholics reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary.

Like with many religious sites there is a number shops selling religious bling, t-shirts and in my case – the trusty fridge magnet.

These is also a cultural centre with a restaurant close by which has the most amazing food.  Well worth a visit.  The day we were visiting all the leaders of the Balkan states where having a get together at the cultural centre.

Tip – travelling into Bosnia from Croatia is really easy and there are so very cool place to explore including Medjugorge, Mostar and Sarajevo (the last two places are a must, especially Mostar at dusk)

On the way back to the border we stop at the lovely Kravice waterfalls; its a nice little stop for a drink while listing to the water trickle down all around you.

xx
